Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills Training/Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills

Corwin Training Center (Formerly Baden-Powell Lodge), Winnebago Scout Reservation, Rockaway, NJ.

This course is required to be considered a fully trained SM/ASM.

The following session areas will be presented in this course:

• The outdoor skills a Scout must learn in order to reach First Class rank, including First Aid, Building Fires, Cooking, Ropes-Whipping & Tying & Lashing, Using a Compass and Map, Working with Wood Tools, Identifying Plants and Animals, and lots of others.
• How to function using the patrol method.
• How to teach these skills to both youth and adults.
