Event Details

A fun weekend of Scouting America Aquatic advancement.  Merit badges.  Parital merit badge make up.  Rank requirements.  Swimming lessons.  Cub Scout aquatic and fishing electives.

Join us for a weekend of waterborne skills progression and fun on August 16th & 17th at Camp Carpenter. Take advantage of some great opportunities including Merit Badges (Swimming, Canoeing, Life Saving, Fishing, Fly Fishing, and Rowing) + "partial" makeup opportunities (same as Merit Badges offered). Swim lessons + Scout BSA rank requirements.  Cub scout aquatic and fishing electives.

 

Saturday, August 16th Activities: Swimming Merit badge. Scout BSA rank requirements. Cub Scout Aquatic and fishing electives.

 

Sunday, August 17th Activities: Canoeing, Lifesaving, Fishing, Fly Fishing, and Rowing merit badges.  Learn to swim.

 

Full Merit Badge (which are all day events), cost: $30.00.  All other offerings at 2 hour sessions costing $12.  A 10% discount applies to those whos total purchase exceeds $24.

Those 16+ years old wishing to participate in fishing activities are required to purchase a NH fish and game license.

All participants are to bring with them BSA medical forms (part A and B).  A full equipment list will be emailed to all participants when registration closes.

 

Merit badge participants please note:

1.        Please review the most current merit badge requirements.  Specifically, all aquatic merit badges require participants to pass the swimmers test.  Please bring proof of completion within the past 12 months.  Those not presenting proof of completion will be retested.

a.       Merit Badge counselors reserve the right to retest any participant.

b.       Those not passing the swimmers test or are unwilling participants will be dismissed from the class.

2.       Lifesaving:

a.       Please make yourself aware of requirement 2 (participants must be strong, good swimmers having already earned the swimming merit badge).

 

Meals and overnight accommodations are not provided.  Those wishing to stay overnight need to make separate reservations

Units will be responsible for ensuring adequate leadership coverage and maintaining YPT standards.
