Cub Specific Training

Cub Scout Leader Training
Why: Every young person in the Scouting program needs and deserves a leader who understands the aims of the program and knows how to deliver it with enthusiasm and fun—in short, a trained leader. Because they understand their role, trained leaders have a positive influence on the lives of youth. How well we influence the lives of these youth depends on their leaders’ understanding of the program and their responsibilities.
During this course, the participant will learn:
- The aims of Scouting and how Cub Scouting helps to fulfill those goals.
- Identify the Cub Leader's main responsibilities in the pack.
- Position specific job duties.
Who: Anyone leading and/or supporting Cub Scout Youth:
- Den Leaders (and Assistants)
- Cubmasters (and Assistants)
- Pack Committee Chairs (and Members)
Note: Hazardous Weather Training will still need to be completed online since it is not part of the in-person training. Be sure to bring a completion certificate or screenshot of completion to be fully credited as a trained Cub Scout leader.
