Cub Scout Family Campout

Event Details

Cub Scout Family Campout at the Olde Lyfe Alpaca Ranch

6150 Franktown Rd, Carson City, Nevada 89704

May 9-10 - Bring the whole family for a fun overnight adventure!

Arrive at 6pm on Friday. (Be sure to eat dinner before you arrive.)

Friday evening will feature a Campfire Program, so come prepared to share your talents. Following the Campfire, there will be a Cracker barrel (a small evening snack) before retiring for the evening.

Breakfast and lunch will both be provided on Saturday. The fun-filled day will feature multiple activity stations - games, songs, learning about alpacas and other ranch animals, scavenger hunt, craft, flag ceremonies/flag retirement.

Depart at 3pm on Saturday

Important to Note:

Bring a completed Annual Health and Medical Record, Part A & B for all family members camping. - https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf

Campsite set-up assistance will be available for inexperienced campers (tent camping only, no campers permitted).

For any outdoor activity with Cub Scouts, each scout should carry these six essentials: a first aid kit, flashlight, sun protection, trail food [provided for you at this camp], filled water bottle, and a whistle.

Take care not to overpack - no personal cooking gear or food needed. Will need a tent, sleeping pad (or cot) and sleeping bag, warm clothes for sleeping, field and activity uniforms (both the button-up shirt and t-shirt), and toiletries.

Since vehicles do not enter the camping area, all gear will be unloaded at the gate and then walked to your site. Wagons can be very helpful with transporting gear.

Remember to bring personal camp chairs for all family members.

Scouting America does not permit heat sources of any type in tents, so be sure to bring enough layers to stay warm at night.

Cub Scouts and their parents/legal guardian and siblings may share a tent, but no youth may share a tent with any other adult.
