BALOO Training Fall 2023 (canceled due to low registration)

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including pack camping overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. BALOO training is comprised of two components—an online component and a practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “TRAINED” Cub Scout outdoor leader. The online component must be completed prior to the practical component. The online training contains introductory and basic information that will be built upon during the practical training.
All adult leaders are invited to participate!
Date: Sept 22-23, 2023 – BOTH DAYS ARE REQUIRED
Time: 5:00 PM, Friday (Check-in opens at 4:30. Training begins at 6:00) through 4:00 PM, Saturday
Location: Washoe Lake State Park, 4855 Eastlake Blvd, New Washoe City, NV 89704 (Equestrian group area)
Cost: $25.00
Overnight camping is required.
Be prepared for any weather.
The following meals will be provided:
- Snack Friday Night
- Breakfast Saturday
- Lunch Saturday
(Efforts will be made to accommodate special dietary restrictions, but there may be instances where a participant may need to supply specific items. Details in pre-course correspondence.)
Participants are responsible for Park Entrance Fees ($15.00).
