National Scout Jamboree 2021
The Mid-America Council plans to send 5 Troops and 1 Crew to the 2021 National Scout Jamboree; 4 Male Troops and 1 Female Troop. Each Troop will consist of 36 youth and 4 adults. The Crew will start at 18 youth and 2 adults but may grow.
youth requirement: Scouts attending must be a registered Scout BSA or Venture Scout in the Mid-America Council. Scouts must be at least 12 years old and First Class rank by the time of the contingent's departure. All Scouts must be younger than 18 for the duration of the trip and Venture Scouts must be younger than 21 for the duration of the trip.
adult requirement: Adults attending with the council's contingent must be registered in the Mid-America Council, interviewed by the Jamboree committee, and be approved by the Scout Executive prior to being able to register online. Adult Leader Application
dates: July 14-30, 2021 (dates are tentative to include travel and the Jamboree itself)
location: Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve (aka The Summit), West Virginia
cost: $2,550 ($2,300 early bird rate if registered and deposit paid by September 14, 2019) per person; will include Jamboree fee, transportation, shirts, patches, patrol and troop equipment, training camp before the jamoboree, insurance, contingent mementos. Your expenses will be personal equipment, uniforms and spending money.
A $250 deposit required to reserve a spot in the contingent and a full payment schedule is available in the attachments section to the right on this page. All fees must be paid by February 1, 2021.

2019/2020 Popcorn Sale: Jamboree Troops/Crew have the ability to earn 50% sales commission during the 2019 and the 2020 fall popcorn sale! Those selling through the Jamboree Troop/Crew must be currently registered to attend the National Scout Jamboree to be eligible for the 50% commission by September 14th, 2019. Contact your Jamboree Troop's Scoutmaster for additional details.
Camperships: Campership funds are available from the BSA for those attending the National Scout Jamboree. The application is available online in 2020, but participation in the 2019 Popcorn sale is requirement to earn a campership to attend the Jamboree.
