Nebraska Wildlife Rehab Experience

Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at wildlife rehabilitation and learn how injured and orphaned wild animals are cared for. The program explores:

  • How wildlife rehabilitation supports the community and promotes coexistence with local wildlife
  • Career paths, skills, and education needed in wildlife rehabilitation
  • Interactive wildlife knowledge activities
  • Ways students can help make a positive impact on wildlife conservation

Nebraska Humane Society

This session introduces participants to animal shelter medicine through interactive activities, including:

  • Dog and cat anatomy games
  • Examining X-rays
  • Practicing suturing techniques
  • Using stethoscopes
