Merit Badge University in Grand Island

Merit Badge University
in Grand Island
Hit the trail and join us at the Overland Trails Territory Merit Badge University, a two full day experience designed to give Scouts the opportunity to experience over 70 different Merit Badges. Each Scout will have the ability to complete or earn 4 merit badges during the session. Scouts will camp on the Stuhr Museum grounds Jamboree style.
Instructors will strive to complete as many requirements as possible in class. Actual requirements completed may vary from Scout to Scout.
*The Guide to Advancement has been updated to say "Any registered Scout, or qualified Venturer or Sea Scout, may work on the requirements for any merit badge at any time. However, before working with a counselor or attending a group or virtual merit badge opportunity, a Scout must meet with their unit leader or their delegate." - Guide to Advancement 7.0.0.3, p41.
It is up to your Scout to accomplish this prior to the college. Event staff are not responsible for enforcing this process. Scoutmasters should understand that counselors at merit badge colleges will only sign off on requirements that are completed as written, and that MAC will supply digital blue cards for unit approval as opposed to inputting directly into Scoutbook. Please reach out to the event coordinators with any questions or concerns.*
