Cub Scout Day Camp in Carroll, IA

Come “RACE INTO THE WILD” at Swan Lake State Park. Scouts will build “Critter Rockets” on Friday and launch their critters on Saturday – which team will get the highest or has the most creative rocket? Scouts will also learn about animals in the wild with the Carroll County Conservation Education Program and do a conservation project to benefit the park. And you won’t want to miss our AMAZING race where youth compete using their Scout skills. Other activities at day camp include shooting sports, STEM, games and many more surprises! Day camps are for registered Cub Scouts entering the 1st-5th grades the following school year. Those entering the 1st grade must be accompanied by an 'adult partner' during their participation. Siblings/friends are invited to attend. Although individual Cub Scouts can participate in any day camp, it is strongly encouraged for Cub Scouts to attend with their friends and adults from the same den or pack; and for the pack's camping coordinator to submit a single registration for all those attending. Cub Scout Day Camps are organized by the Mid-America Council, Boy Scouts of America and conducted by volunteers from the local area. Day camps are also supported by a number of adult and youth staff members. Scouts BSA Den Chiefs may also support the day camp program by assisting the Cub Scouts throughout the camp.

When:  Friday, June 9th - 8 AM to Saturday, June 10th - 3:30 PM (check-in starts 8am on Friday, events start at 9am)

Cost:  

• Scouts - $45 ($40 if paid by May 5th)
• Sibling/Friend - $45 ($40 if paid by May 5th)
• Adults - FREE with optional t-shirt purchase
• Walk-Ins - $60 - does not include shirt or patch

Staff:

• Youth Staff (14+): Free with shirt.
• Adult Staff (18+): 
  • Current BSA Registration - Free with shirt.
  • Non-BSA Registered - $26.25 Membership Fee. Includes shirt. 
• Staff Assistant: Free with shirt (Under 14. Must have Parent/Guardian or Scoutmaster supervision)
• Den Chief: Free with shirt. (First Class Scout with Den Chief training. Only register if your Den is attending.)

Includes: Shirt and patch for youth participants, program materials, camp facility fees, daily snack.
