Spring Camporee in Carroll, IA

Find YOUR adventure in Scouting at the all-Iowa Spring Camporee at Swan Lake State Park! Scouts should come prepared with a modified klondike sled or wagon, as this camporee will take them on a competitive adventure around the lake. Saturday morning activities will include: 

- a pioneering challenge

- a water rescue / throwbag challenge

- a plant / animal science challenge

- a first aid drill

- Tomahawks and throwing knives

- a firebuilding challenge

- lunch on the trail

- geocaches hidden along the trail

Saturday afternoon, additional program will include opportunties for fishing, disc golf, hiking, wilderness survival outpost construction, and (weather dependent) a climbing tower or obstacle course sponsored by the Iowa National Guard. 

Saturday evening, join us for OA call outs and closing camp fire. Afterwards, those who elected to build a wilderness survival shelter will head to their outpost.

Cost:  

• Scouts - $15
• Adults - Free- must register in advance and be BSA registered to camp
• Optional T-shirt- $10   MUST ORDER BY 11:59 PM on April 8
• Includes:  Patch, programming and camping

Troops must supply their own food.
