Fur Trader's Rendezvous in Cairo, NE

Please register ALL ATTENDING unit members on the SAME registration.
Live the 1800-1840's Fur Trade era for a weekend!
Co-hosted with the United Nebraska Muzzleloaders Association.
Events to experience: muzzleloader range, tomahawk throwing, blacksmithing, flint and steel fire starting, trapping, hide tanning, as well as many other demonstrations and skills shown by Mountain Men and Women. There will be a traders row with Fur Trade era trade goods to help outfit you for future adventures as well as Lease-A-Lodge on hand to set you and your troop up with any canvas goods you may need. A favorite for Scouts and Scouters is the round robin trade blanket as well as individual scouts trade blanket. So dont forget to bring items to trade with. Also, many of those exhibiting and demonstrating will have items for sale as souvenirs. Scouts and Scouters are encouraged to dress in primitive attire! Due the nature of the activities, this will be for Scouts BSA and Arrow of Light Cub Scouts only. AOL Scouts will be limited to age appropriate activities, see leaders Guide for more details.
