In an effort to help support Scouts and families, the Mid-America Council will be offering Merit Badge programs ONLINE. These merit badges will be provided by a registered Merit Badge Counselor. There will not be a waitlist option, but check back on the mac-bsa.org website for more opportunities.
Scouts must "demonstrate to your counselor that you have current knowledge of all first-aid requirements for Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks". This is requirement 1 of First Aid. Requirements that will not be completed during online session include 1, 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, 13b, 13c, and 14. These requirements can be completed either before or after the online session by the Scout, reviewed by their unit leader, and checked off by the unit leader.
BLUE CARDS can be obtained at any time. Requirements completed online will be marked off within two days of session. Requirements completed outside of online session will be reviewed and recorded within two weeks of submission. It's the Scout's resonsibility to share incomplete or completed blue card with their unit leader. Instructions for how to access merit badge records.
