UNL Durham School of Architectural Engineering & Construction Program
Explorer students are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities focused on engineering education including the use of science, technology, and mathematical applications to solve real-life problems related to the engineering, design, and construction of a building.
There are limited spots, so sign up soon!
Architectural Engineering (AE) professionals focus on the design, integration and operation of buildings. This includes engineering the structural, mechanical (heating, ventilation and cooling), electrical (power distribution and communications), and lighting systems and acoustical properties.
Construction Engineering (CONE) professionals design, plan, and assist in the construction of infrastructures such as roads, tunnels, bridges, railroads, buildings and other facilities, with an emphasis on the engineering and technical aspects of these projects.
Construction Management (CM) professionals lead the day-to-day operation of construction-site projects including commercial, residential, heavy-civil and industrial construction. A construction manager combines business management expertise with innovative engineering principles to successfully facilitate construction projects.
The Durham School Explorer Post Welcome Dinner and Orientation will take place February 6, 2024, at the Scott Conference Center, 6450 Pine Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
