Scouts BSA Resident Camp

Camp Cedars is the premier Scouts BSA Summer Camp of the Mid-America Council. Located near Fremont, NE, Camp Cedars boasts 350+ acres of forest and grassland set on the bluffs above the Platte River. Our tradtional summer camp programing is paired with unique adventure opportunities to truly give your unit an unparalleled experience. 

Our world class facilities and programs include a 50ft climbing tower, high ropes (COPE) course, air- conditioned dining hall, pool & lakefront, coal burning forge, covered rifle, shotugn, and archery ranges, ATV safety course and trails, and an equestrian center. Most campsites include platform canvas tents but we also have primitive campsites if you'd prefer to bring your own tents. 

2027 Dates:

• Week 1: June 13- 19
• Week 2: June 20- 26
• Week 3: June 27- July 3
• Week 4: July 11- 17
• Week 5: July 18- 24

2027 Camp Fees:

• Youth: $TBD
• Adults: $TBD full week ($TBD/ daily)
  *ALL ADULTS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE UNIT THEY ARE ATTENDING WITH

2027 Registration Timeline:

Limit One Registration Per Unit: Each troop may only create one registration per week. Please have one person create the main registration and utilize the Parent Portal feature to give parents access to add camper details, make payments, and select classes. Units can choose to allow parents to select classes or turn that specific feature off for parents.

Prior to January 1, 2027, troops may place a reservation with a $150 deposit to hold their spot in their week of choice and by entering their estimated number of youth and adult attendees. Space is limited by week.

Starting January 1, 2027, troops will confirm their youth and adult spots and begin entering details like name, birthday, emergency contact, dietary needs, etc. Troops or parents will be able to make individual payments at this time. 

Starting in March, Scouts will be able to select merit bage classes and additional programs in the online registration system. Scouts must have a $100 deposit paid in order to select programs. 

2027 Program Sign Ups:

• Programs will open for youth aged 14+ who have paid $100 deposit on March 1st at 10 am CST. 
• Programs will open for all youth who have paid $100 deposit on March 15th at 10 am CST. 
• Program sign up will close on May 1st. This will allow us to consolidate classes and rearange schedules as needed. Final schedules will be available at minimum 2 weeks prior to your week at camp. Schedule changes can then be made again by the customer at that time or at camp. Please Note: If your Scout is the only one in a class, the class will be cancelled to ensure we are following Safeguarding Youth policies and can provide the best experience for all campers and utilize staff efficiently. We strongly encourage Scouts to sign up for classes as buddies to reduce this concern.

Cancellations & Refunds:

• The $150 troop deposit is non-refundable. Once paid, the $100 deposit per Scout is not refundable but can be transferred to another Scout from the same troop. 
• Starting May 1, 2027, youth and adult spots dropped from the registration will be charged a $100 cancellation fee even if no payments have been made for those spots. Please reconcile your registration attendees prior to May 1st to avoid cancellation fees, allow other Scouts to sign up for camp, and help us accurately hire staff and purchase program supplies, food, etc. We can always add additional youth and adults to your registration if needed as space allows.
