MERIT BADGE UNIVERSITY

What is Merit Badge University: The Merit Badge University (MBU) will give your scouts an opportunity to earn two merit badges offered in a variety of topics. The instructors are knowledgeable members of the scouting movement who will involve Scouts in informative and challenging sessions and introduce them to a variety of subjects geared to helping them advance through the ranks.

You will be provided a link to the Zoom classrooms you are registered for in the week prior to the event.  You will also be provided a link for submission of Pre-Requisites and Homework.  All submission needs to be done thru the link provided.

All Pre-reqs and/or homework will be listed by February 15th.

9 AM Classes

Salesmanship - Homework will be #3,4,5

American Heritage - Pre-requisites are #2,3,4,5

Animation - Homework will be #3

Citizenship in the Nation - Pre-requisites are #2a, 2b or 2c, 8

Personal Management - Pre-requisites or Homework are #1b, 8c and #2-13 weeks consecutive budgeting

Disability Awareness

Public Speaking - Homework will be #2

1 PM Classes

Journalism

American Culture - Pre-Requisites are #1,2,3

Bird Study - Homework will be #5,7,9

Citizenship in the World - Pre-Requisite is #7

Communications - Pre-Requisite or Homework is - #5,6,7,8

Family Life

Railroading

You will have a limited about of time following this day in order to submit your homework for Merit Badge Completion and have your Blue Card signed by the Counselor who tought it.  All homework needs to be sumitted by end of day Sunday, April 25th.  If at that time, you have not compelted all the requirements, you will still get a blue card with the requirements documented that you did complete but it will be up to you to then find a counselor to sign off on the completion.

• Includes: Patch AND Blue Card mailed to your home
