Wizards in the Woods camp will help refine and, in most cases, enhance your talents. How do we help you develop as a wizard? The same way that the great Professor Dumbledore does, by emulating the characteristics of a leader. When you arrive at camp the great Sorting Hat will place you in houses.

Scouts Will Test Their Skills

Throughout the weekend, Scouts will put their abilities to the test with a series of wizard-themed challenges designed to build confidence, teamwork, and adventure:

• Knot Your Average Spell – A fast-paced knots competition where Scouts cast their “rope magic” with skill and speed.
• Fieldwork Arithmancy – Sharpen your observation skills as you solve clues hidden in the environment.
• How to Identify Magical Beasts – Learn to recognize “creatures” by studying animal tracks and signs.
• Move Through Arago’s Web – A teamwork obstacle that requires strategy, balance, and trust.
• Can You Find Platform 9 ¾? – An orienteering quest that challenges Scouts to navigate their way to magical destinations.
• Quidditch Match - Scouts will race to score goals, and work together using speed, teamwork, and strategy to claim victory.

And that’s only the beginning—there’s a whole world of wizarding adventures waiting to be discovered!

Troop Activities

Get ready for a weekend packed with fun, teamwork, and friendly competition! Troops will have the chance to show their creativity, skills, and Scout spirit through a variety of exciting activities:

• House Flag Design Competition – Create a bold, imaginative house flag that showcases your troop’s identity.
• House Gateway Challenge – Build the most impressive gateway and earn bragging rights for engineering excellence.
• Troop Potluck – Test your cooking skills in this ultimate Scout challenge to see who rises to the top.
• Patrol Spirit Showcase – Show off your Patrol pride through songs, cheers, and teamwork.
• Campfire Skits – Entertain the camp with your most creative, humorous, or magical performance.
• Discover Your Inner Wizard – Step into the world of imagination and adventure as you explore the magic woven throughout camp.
