Recruitment, Retention, & Range (R3) day coming Sep 19 at the OEC!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 19, as the Cornhusker Council hosts the highly anticipated Recruitment, Retention, and Range Day at the Outdoor Education Center (OEC) in Lincoln.

This council-wide event is specifically engineered to delivering an unforgettable, high-energy day of target sports. Because Range and Target Activities (formerly known as Shooting Sports) can strictly only be conducted at official events under the supervision of certified Rangemasters, this is a rare and premier opportunity for your youth!

What is in Store for the Scouts?

The Range Day offers fully supervised, hands-on experiences across three massive fan-favorite activities:

• BB Guns: Scouts will learn the fundamentals of marksmanship, proper stance, and safe barrel control.
• Archery: Youth will step up to the shooting line, learn to pull a bowstring, and aim for a bullseye.
• Slingshots: A fast-paced, high-utility station where Scouts hone their hand-eye coordination.

 Fee is $5.00.  Friends that are interested in joining Scouting can also attend this event for $5.00.
