Greetings Scouting Family,

If you are receiving this email you were registered for the Mac-Husker-Trails College of Commissioner Science originally scheduled for March 28th, 2020.  As you are aware pursuant to the recommendations of the CDC and other state and local health departments this event has been canceled pending rescheduling.  Your registration has been saved and will be moved automatically to the new date selected. No date has been selected at this time, but we are looking to the fall of 2020.  Should this event be canceled outright a refund of your registration fee will be made upon your request. For now, we ask for your patience in this matter as we work with our partners to get this event back on track at a later date.  Please see the notice below.  Further updates will be sent via this e-mail and posted on our Council website and social media.

Events Refunds

When possible, we are encouraging events to reschedule for a later date.  If you are registered for an event that gets postponed, your registration will be transferred to the new date.  If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, you may request a refund according to our standard policy. 

For events that are canceled outright, we are in the process of reviewing our council refund policy.  Given the number of events, and that many events have already incurred substantial costs for supplies and reservation fees, it may be difficult to issue full refunds.  Our team is working to determine what is possible.  

If you are able to do so, please consider not requesting a refund and allowing your registration fee to support Scouting.  This will help us offset the costs of lost income from canceled events. 

MAC Husker Trails College of Commissioner Science

The MAC Husker Trails College of Commissioner Science offers something for every registered scout leader!  You will be able to select the track you wish to study.  Commissioners are encouraged to use this continuing education event to facilitate improved service to their Units/Districts/Councils. Commissioner College training is often considered the best in Scouting.   

Join us for our keynote speaker at lunch - Mr. Fred Wallace, Central Region Director.  UPON REGISTRATION, THERE IS A $10 LUNCH ONLY OPTION.  Mr. Wallace will speak to attendees about topics such as the bankruptcy, girls in Scouting BSA, and other trends looking ahead 5 years.  This will run 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.  (See attachement for more details)

College of Commissioner Science Continuing Education - 

WHEN:  March 28, 2020 from 7:30am-4:30pm

WHERE: East Campus UNL Hardin Hall, Lincoln

COST: $25 until March 20, then $30 (includes lunch and appropriate certificates and patches).
