This year's District Pinewood Derby will have more show categories and race categories than ever before! Local Businesses throughout the District's eight counties will have an opportunity to invest in the future of our District's Youth! Entry Categories will be announced at the February roundtable.
During the month of January, if you know a business or community leader that shares the same love of scouting, invite them to invest in the future of your unit. Fundraising leads that are sent to our district leadership can lead to free entry fees for all eligible racers in your unit! More sponsorship means more prizes and bigger better trophies for our racers!
This event is planned to be an in-person event unless COVID restrictions allow for only virtual participation closer to the planned date. All of the District will be included and can enter. Presence is not required. This event will be hosted LIVE on Social Media and will forever live on the Council's You Tube Channel for your enjoyment!
Pick up of Cars will be coordinated through your District Executive for Thursday March 25th and Friday March 26th. Weigh ins for the entire district will be conducted at the OEC with the same scale all three districts utilized last year for our virtual derby's. You will be sent a picture with your car on the scale. Any adjustments to your car will be coordinated with your unit leaders. We will do everything we can to make sure your car races! Each unit can enter 6 race cars and 12 show cars. The same car cannot race and be entered for show. There will be more derby cars available for purchase or pick up for your unit at the February Roundtable.
