What is provided?

  • Canoes/Kayaks and paddles
  • Lifejackets
  • Reusable river trash bags
  • Gloves
  • Snacks and Drinks following the cleanup!

How will we do this cleanup? You will be assigned to a team, some of which are on the river paddling and others that are on land.  This all depends on how high the stream is, and how much trash we see on the surrounding land.  Meet at Wilderness Park’s Old Cheney Parking lot for check-in and team assignment.

Safety Afloat. If Troops are assigned to an afloat work crew, Scout leaders must follow Safety Afloat guidelines and have a Safety Afloat-trained leader present (one trained adult for every 10 Scouts).  See Scouting Safely-Safety Afloat for more guidance: Safety Afloat | Scouting America
