America 250 Relay Race

Date: 9/21 (hike) or 9/22 (bike)

Celebrate the outdoors and 250 years of American history with the American Discovery Trail Society’s America 250 Relay. This 6,800-mile relay from California to Delaware will carry a copy of the Declaration of Independence from coast to coast. The race crossed the Golden Gate Bridge on the 4th of July and will end on Thanksgiving at the Atlantic Ocean. Join the celebration by participating for a day or more in a relay.  The relay will arrive in Lincoln on Sep 20th and the 10-mile hike will start on Sep 21st with the 42.5 mile bike ride starting on Sep 22nd.  The Lincoln segment of the relay race will be the MOPAC Trail.

The relay is a celebration of America and a celebration of the American Discovery Trail — educating people about American history, culture, and nature. This is not a sports or athletic contest, exhibition, festival, parade, or fundraiser.
