This training is the first step in becoming a certified instructor/MB counselor for rifle, shotgun and pistol safety courses.  This is the NRA Basic Shotgun course. 

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.  This course is at least 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. 

Cost of this standalone course is $90.00

Individuals who indicate a wish to become a Merit Badge Counselor and make the commitment to provide that service to the BSA for a minimum of 2 years will be give a discounted rate of $30.00

You will need to bring a sack lunch, pen and paper.  Any personal firearms that are brought will be inspected by the instructors.  DO NOT bring ammunition.

MUST have a minimum of 4 registrants to hold course.
