***CANCELLED*** Youth Protection Training

Event Details

Hi everyone! The end of the year is upon us! We are offering an in person Youth Protection training as we have been notified that some people are having trouble with the online training.

We will have youth protection training on December 27th from 6-8pm at First Lutheran Church 3315 G Ave. Kearney. Due to the nature of this training it is best if children are not present. If you absolutely need to bring a child please let me know in advance so we can make a plan.  Be sure to share this information with all adults in your units. You do not have to be a leader to take youth protection training and there are some major benefits to having all parents YP trained. One, if they do step into a leader position they will already have the training done to be able to register. Two, if all parents understand the expectations and warning signs that is a lot of extra eyes protecting you and your youth.

Two registered adult leaders 21 years of age or over are required at all Scouting activities, including meetings. There must be a registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over in every unit serving females. A registered female adult leader 21 years of age or over must be present for any activity involving female youth. Notwithstanding the minimum leader requirements, age- and program-appropriate supervision must always be provided.

All adults accompanying a Scouting unit who are present at the activity for 72 total hours or more must be registered as leaders. The 72 hours need not be consecutive.
