Day Camp

Event Details

***UPDATE 6/29/2020***

Due to COVID restrictions, we are no longer holding the day camps at Fort Kearny, O'Neill, and Camp Augustine. We will be offering a virtual day camp instead! We are still working out the details, so watch our website and social media for more information about this awesome opportunity.

The Day Camp at North Platte is still going forward in-person. We look forward to seeing you there!

Down on the Farm

Cub Scout day camps are organized by the Overland Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America and conducted by volunteers from the local area. Day camps are for registered Cub Scouts entering Kindergarten-5th grades the following school year. Those entering the Kindergarten & 1st grade must be accompanied by an ‘adult partner’ during their participation.

Day camps are conducted by adult volunteer leadership who were trained and certified at one of the Boy Scouts of America’s National Camping Schools. Day camps are also supported by a number of adult and youth volunteers.

A variety of different activities are offered to allow participants to experience outdoor programs for Cub Scouts; many of which are designed to implement the 2020 Cub Scout program theme, "Down on the Farm".

Camperships

We don’t want any youth to miss out on the camping experience due to inability to pay. Recent times have put many families in a hard place. We have camperships available to help offset the cost of camps. Campership applications for Day Camps are due August 25, 2020.
