Why: Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS) To safely offer Scouting Out Door Programs you need a certain set of skills and knowledge -That is where IOLS training comes in you will learn how to build fire, use an axe, cook outdoors, use a map and compass, responsibly care for outdoors and much more. this training combined with YPT and Scoutmaster-specific training will make you a fully trained Scouts BSA leader, Plan on an overnight campout, you will need to bring a tent, mess kit, and any other essentials you would need for over night camping.
