Cub Scout Day Camp 2024
“Outdoor Under the Big Sky”
June 11th, 12th & 13th
9am-4pm
Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday
Register by May 1st to ensure a spot for your Cub Scout. Those registering after May 1st may not receive a camp t-shirt, patch or station supplies. Please register early as it is very much appreciated to ensure we have adequate supplies for all Cub Scouts.
Information for everyone:
- Camp runs Tuesday through Thursday
- Camp check-in will start at 8:45am each day.
- Pick-up will be at 4:00pm each day.
- Two snacks will be provided each day.
- Please accurately and specifically record food and other allergies on the medical forms, Parts A & B. All attendees including volunteers need to turn in medical forms parts A & B (They can be emailed to Holly or brought to camp the first day)
- Cubs will receive their t-shirts the morning of camp. Cubs can change into their camp t-shirt or wear another Cub Scout T-shirt for the first day. Please have them wear their camp T-shirt the other two days of camp.
- On Thursday, June 13th, parents, families, and friends are invited to come to the Fairgrounds at 3:00pm for a camp presentation. Cubs may be checked out to go home when the presentations are finished.
- There will be a trash clean-up at the Fairgrounds on July 29th at 5:30 pm; this is our service to thank the Fairgrounds for letting us use their facility. The details will be announced at camp.
Tigers must have an adult with them. The adult does not get the volunteer discount but can buy a t-shirt if they wish.
What to bring for everyone: (Please label all items with name.)
- Small backpack to hold your gear
- Lunch daily, with an ice pack if necessary. Refrigeration will not be available.
- Water bottle daily
- Sweatshirt and rain jacket
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Closed-toed shoes
- Medical forms Part A & B if you have not already turned it in
Information for Adult Volunteers:
- You may volunteer for one to three days, receiving a discount for your Cub Scout of $10 a day off one scout registration.
- Volunteers who work three days will receive a T-shirt and patch; others may purchase these for $12.
- T-shirts are guaranteed for volunteers who register by May 1st, late registering volunteers are welcome but may not receive a T-shirt.
- There will be a required volunteer training before camp on June 10th at 5:30pm at the Fairgrounds.
- Volunteers should plan to arrive by 8:30am each day.
- There are many ways to volunteer:
- Den Walker: an adult who travels with a group of Cubs from station to station.
- Station leader: an adult who runs a teaching station. If you are interested in a specific station, please note that on your registration.
- Floater: filling in at the last minute wherever needed
Information for Youth Volunteers (6th grade and up):
- You may volunteer for one to three days.
- Volunteers who work three days will receive a T-shirt and patch; others may purchase these for $12.
- T-shirts are guaranteed for volunteers who register by May 1st; late registering volunteers are welcome but may not receive a t-shirt.
- There will be a required volunteer training before camp on June 10th, 5:30pm at the fairgrounds.
- Volunteers should plan to arrive by 8:30am each day.
- There are many ways to volunteer:
- Den Chief: a Scout (14 or older) who travels with a group of Cubs and an adult from station to station. Your job is to help the campers have fun at camp.
- Station assistant: assisting an adult who runs a teaching station. You may be asked to help teach part of the station. If you are interested in a specific station, note that on your registration.
- Floater: filling in at the last minute wherever needed—not always exciting, but ever needed!
