Camp Melita Island
Summer Camp 2027

In the middle of the pristine waters of Flathead Lake lies an island gem called Melita.

Melita Island is wholly owned by Scouting America, Montana Council, and is a little piece of paradise reserved just for Scouts to have the adventure of a lifetime. Programs at Melita Island are heavily water-based and are ideal for seasoned Scouts that are looking for something a little different than the traditional summer camp. We also have land-based activities for those who are afraid to get wet. 
 

Units must pay a $250 NON-REFUNDABLE Unit Fee at the time of booking
plus $25 per participant (NON-REFUNDABLE) due by Sept. 15, 2026.

 Because of limited spots on Melita Island, priority will be given to youth attendees.
Every unit will be permitted 1 adult per every 4 youth registered (All units are allowed at least 3 adults). 
There will be a total of 200 spots available per week.

Waitlist registrations will be considered beginning September 15.

2027 Dates:

• Session 1: July 4th - July 10th, 2027
• Session 2: July 11th - July 17th, 2027
• Session 3: July 18th - July 24th, 2027
• Session 4: July 25th - July 31st, 2027
• Session 5: Aug 1st - Aug 7th, 2027

2027 Fees:            
Youth:           $600 (Fee will increase to $625 if not paid in full by 05/15/2027)
Adults:          $325
Unit Fee:        $250 Unit Fee at the time of booking plus $25 per participant due by Sept. 15 (both NON-REFUNDABLE). 

• Reservations after Sept. 15 require $250 Unit Fee plus $25 per participant due at booking (both NON-REFUNDABLE).
• Reservations that do not have $25 per participant (and $250 Unit Fee) paid by Sept. 15 will forfeit any unpaid participant slots and those spaces will be available for other units.
• Participant spots will be removed if the $100 per participant fee is not paid by March 1st.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Any unit or individual Scout canceling prior to June 1st may be able to receive a refund of fees less the $250 Unit Fee and $25 per participant fee for each Scout and/or adult cancellation.

After June 1st, 2027, no refunds will be issued until after the end of the camping season.  Refunds will be determined by the Council Camping Department.  Valid refund reasons include death, illness, or military orders such as TDA or PCS. Refund amounts are determined based on refundable monies, which excludes food and supplies purchased, as well as other incurred costs.

All fees must be paid on time in order to hold your campsite. The unit may lose its place if fees are not on time.
