K-M Scout Ranch Work Weekend and Order of the Arrow Ordeal

K-M Scout Ranch Work Weekend and Order of the Arrow Ordeal
Friday, May 29-Sunday, May 31
Ranger Keith needs your help setting up for summer camp 2026. Order of the Arrow and non-OA members are invited to spend the weekend volunteering their time helping us prepare for summer campers. Work projects will include tent and cot setup, painting, cleaning, equipment setup and more! Our Ordeal candidates and volunteers are greatly needed to get our facilities ready to host Summer Camp.
Please note: This is a WORK WEEKEND. While there will be plenty of time for fellowship and socializing, the primary focus of the weekend is service. All participants in attendance will be expected to spend their time working on camp projects.
All participants must be currently registered members of Scouting America
Cost: Event is free for Order of the Arrow and non-OA members in exchange for your service! Event fee is $25 for Ordeal Candidates and $20 for Brotherhood candidates to cover supply costs.
What to bring: BE PREPARED! As well as their Scout Uniform and Med form A & B, participants should come prepared for camping in the outdoors including a tent, sleeping bag, ground cloth (a must), rain gear, work gloves and boots, and personal clothing and toiletry items. Camp tents are not provided, so please bring a tent! We can also use carpentry, painting, and electrical tools as well as shovels, rakes, and picks.
Meals: Meals to be provided are breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. You should plan on eating before you arrive on Friday evening or bring a sack lunch.
Accomodations: Tent space, toilets, and showers will be available.
Work Projects Include: Clean up of buildings, sorting, organizing, tent and cot setup, and inventory of equipment. Our Ordeal candidates and volunteers are greatly needed to get our facilities ready to host Summer Camp.
Ordeal Candidates - What to expect: The Ordeal is full of Order of the Arrow traditions and mystery and is a great opportunity to reflect on your scout life and character and come to a deeper understanding of the scout Oath and Law and the principles of the Order. If you or your parents have any questions or concerns about the OA Ordeal/Brotherhood, please feel free to email Lodge Adviser LeRoy Wosoba - lwosoba@gmail.com
