2023 National Scout Jamboree - Montana Council Contingent

July 17-29, 2023

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

The participant fee is $3,950 per person (if actual transportation costs are less than budgeted, the final event participant cost will be reduced). This fee includes:

  • National Jamboree fee
  • Jamboree and council patches
  • Roundtrip airfare and all ground transportation to/from Jamboree 
  • Meals to/from Jamboree
  • Hotel lodging prior to and after Jamboree
  • Two days touring Washington DC, including monuments and museums
  • One day touring Charlotte, NC, after the Jamboree, including NASCAR Hall of Fame and Charlotte Motor Speedway
  • All troop/crew gear (such as tents, cots, stoves, cooking equipment)

Registering for the Jamboree is a two-step process:

  1. You register on this page with Montana Council to pay your Jamboree fees.
  2. You apply to the National Jamboree website to attend: jamboree.scouting.org (You do not need to be pre-registered on the National Jamboree website to complete the Montana Council registration). You must have/create a my.scouting.org login to access national registration site. For youth Scout/Venturer registration, be sure to use youth registrant's BSA Member ID, not a parent's BSA member ID.

*Your application/registration is not complete until you register on this website AND submit your application on the National website.

Scout/Venturer Participant Qualifications:

  • MUST have a current BSA membership.
  • MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but has not reached their 18th birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.
  • Be approved by your unit leader and Montana Council.
  • MUST have appropriate parent/guardian complete the online parental consent.  (An email will be sent to the parent/guardian of any applicant currently 17 years of age or younger during the application process.)
  • Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
  • Submitted BSA Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process.  The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2022.
  • Submit all registrations fees per Montana Council's payment schedule.

Young Adult (18-20) Participant Qualifications:

  • MUST have a current BSA membership.
  • MUST be at least 18 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but has not reached their 21st birthday by the last day of the Jamboree.
  • MUST be housed as an adult due to chronological age, while allowed to participate in program consistent with a youth participant.
  • Be approved by Montana Council.
  • Participate in pre-Jamboree training experience with local council and unit leader.
  • Submitted BSA Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process.  The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2022.
  • Submit all registrations fees per Montana Council's payment schedule

Adult Leader (21 and older) Participant Qualifications:

All Jamboree Scoutmasters, First, Second, Third Assistant Scoutmasters, Unit Care Provider, and Adult Chaperones MUST meet the following requirements:

  • MUST have a current BSA membership in Montana Council.
  • All leaders regardless of assigned position MUST be at least 21 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree.
  • Be approved by Montana Council to serve as a Jamboree leader. Adult participation is limited. All adult leaders are individually selected and approved by Montana Council.
  • Scoutmaster, First, Second or Third Assistant Scoutmasters MUST currently be serving in any unit-level leadership position.
  • Scoutmaster applicants MUST have completed appropriate leader specific training.
  • All adult leaders MUST be current with Youth Protection Training.
  • All adults must register online through the Jamboree registration system as a “Leader”. The council will designate specific leadership or chaperone positions at the time the Jamboree units are assigned.
  • Participate and assist in planning the pre-Jamboree training experience with local council.
  • Submitted BSA Annual Health & Medical Record using the on-line Jamboree submission process.  The AHMR must be dated on or after July 1, 2022.
  • Submit all registrations fees per Montana Council's payment schedule.

2nd Payment (due 11/15/2022)         $1,000

3rd Payment (due 3/15/2023)            $1,225

Final Payment (due 6/15/2023)         $1,225

The $500 deposit is non-refundable once fees have been paid to National BSA. Expenses paid by Montana Council for registration, equipment, services, fees, transportation, or contracts entered into on behalf of participant will not be refunded. If substitution for participation in the event has been secured, then a refund, less and fees/charges incurred and less a 10% administrative fee, will be made.
