2017 Venturing Explore STL
#ExploreSTL
Join all your Venturing, Sea Scouting, Exploring, and Older Scout friends for this one of a kind event! This one of a kind event will take you through neighborhoods of Saint Louis in search of hidden secrets of these neighborhoods. Some locations will be worth more, so you'll need to plan which locations and challenges you pursue. We've partnered with Metro to get us around Saint Louis for the day, so you'll need to plan out your route with what transit options you have. At the end of the day we'll get back together to check out some of the photos you took throughout the day, and have a small party. We'll also name the overall winner for the day, and have some great prizes to hand out!
This event is going to be a fun day! Get your team of 4-8 signed up and join us for this unique event. Bring a lunch, or plan to get a bite to eat in one of the terrific neighborhoods. Bring a camera (with a removable memory card if you can) and document your progress throughout the day.
Signup for the event, which covers the transit pass and the fun throughout the day is $16 if you sign up by Sunday, March 26, $18 if you pre-register after then and $20 at the event. Get your group together and sign up today!
This is a great event to bring prospective members to. We do ask that everyone in attendance is of Venturing Age (graduated the 8th grade and 13 OR 14 years of age).
The event will kick off at the MacAurthur Service Center (4568 W. Pine). There will be an orientation and mass start for the event from the W. Pine Office of the Greater Saint Louis Area Council. Parking is available at the start.

Every group needs to be 4-8 and must have an adult over 21 on the team (two preferred). You don't need to know your team to register, we'll separate it out once you get there. Every team should plan to have:
- A small first aid kit
- Smart Phone (with extra battery preferred) -- You may want this to check transit timetables and such using Google Maps. We'll also use them for emergency communication.
- Camera (with removable memory card, preferred)-- We're hoping you can turn in your pictures to commemorate the event!
