STEM on CAMPus UMSL 2024

STEM on CAMPus UMSL
June 5-8, 2024
University of Missouri–St. Louis
SCOUTS BSA, ADULT LEADER and STAFF REGISTRATION.

Thank you to our sponsor University of Missouri–St. Louis and Daugherty Business Solutions. 

A visit from the Blue Angels will happen on Friday!  Scouts will be able to visit and ask them questions!

 

***All Scouts will share a room with at least one other scout and will share a restroom. (Dorm room )

Check-in for the camp participants will be Wednesday June 5th  in the evening and check-out will be Saturday June 8th. There will be 6 program sessions to work on merit badges or NOVA awards. Extracurricular fun will happen each evening –  team building games, star gazing, pool, etc. Campus dorm living for 3 cool nights and 9 great meals.   

$200 per Scout / $110 per adult leader.  Scouts can come with their Troop or be a part of a provisional one.   Registration will be open until 2 weeks before camp starts.   

If you attend  STEM on CAMPus EIU or SEMO camp from June 2-5, a $70 refund will be sent out the week after (parents will need to provide transportation).   That is a camper savings deal at $330 for a full week of STEM on CAMPus experiences!  

Adult Staff = Instructors/staff that are not staying overnight at camp
Adult Leader = Adults who are staying overnight and serving as provisional leaders or supervisors for the Scouts
Adult Free Participant = Adults Leaders who signed up 5 or more Scouts and will serve as provisional leaders 


University faculty and staff will be present to help facilitate the activities associated with STEM Merit Badges and Nova Awards. Our camp goal is to match volunteers with their area of interest and expertise to provide these potential badge offerings:

Engineering

Finger Printing Scholarship 

First Aid (All Day)

Geology

Hello World! 

Programming 

Space Exploration

Supernova Lab

Once registered and classes are chosen, those badge/NOVA assignments are locked in. Review prereqs in the document available in the attachments box on this page. We encourage Scouts to work on their NOVA awards.

We hope this camp will not only help instill an appreciation for the STEM fields, but also create professional connections for these youth. Don’t miss this new experience at Southeast!
