SCOUTBOTICS - Spring 2017

Event Details

SCOUTBOTICS is a brand new STEM event this year that offers Boy Scouts, Explorers, Venturers, and youth ages 11-17 the opportunity to design, program, and race a robot. This event is for those youth interested in robotics and looking for an engaging and challenging opportunity to exercise their STEM legs! Participants will leave with their 'own robot' and the memory of a fantastic day of robot fun!

For new participants that need a robot that have or do not have the Robotics Merit Badge - only $55 per youth participant - what a deal!!   Fee includes an event rally shirt with sponsors and the Gobbit+ robot (a $110 value - check it out here -  http://www.zagrosrobotics.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=993).

For those youth that participated in last year's events, the fee to participate is $10 and includes a rally shirt - ALSO, we are including earning Programming Merit Badge if you yet to earn that.  Don't forget to bring your robot!

The SCOUTBOTICS concept was designed and envisioned by a team of volunteers who have a passion for robotics and Scouting. This program was designed specifically for Scouts, but other youth ages 11-17 are welcome to join!

Boy Scouts will earn the Robotics merit badge if not earned already.   If a Scout has the merit badge, the time spent will be used to learn how the Gobbit robot operates.  Youth who attended the last workshop will get advance training during the morning session.

Don't miss this 2nd year of this event and who knows how far Scoutbotics will go!!
