Seiler Drone Experience

Event Details

Hello Scouts!

We have a cool opportunity to join us at the Drone Experience!

With the help of Seiler Instruments. we are conducting a drone education session for up to 20 Scouts BSA youth, ages 11-17, on:

Monday, July 18th from 9 A.M.-12 P.M.   It will be at Beaumont Scout Reservation - Camp May parade field.

Just $10 per Scout.   Free for chaperone adults.

Scouts will be covering:

 Drone Technology and Applications Overview

 Review of Professional Drone Options

Prep and Fly - each Scout gets their own drone to fly.  Up to 40 minutes of flight time!

 Review of Data Results

There will be 2-3 Drone pilots there to provide instruction.   We will supply the 20 drones to fly from our STEM inventory.

The session will start at the parade field for about 45 minutes on the history on drones, how they are built, their use in recreation and industry, careers, and then letting the Scouts fly.

Scouts should be in the care of an adult during the session.  Bring a camp chair for comfort or sitting in the grass, and prepare for a sunny day.  In the case of inclement weather, the event may be cancelled.

First come, first served - so make your registration.  Don't miss this great opportunity to learn about this cool tech and enjoy the resources of our STEM program!
