Calling all Scouts BSA troops and Scouts!

The Lewis and Clark Fall 2022 Camporee will be 10/21, 10/22, and 10/23 at the Camden Point City Park (E Hwy and Interurban Rd.)

Scouts will have a chance to earn the Search and Rescue merit badge. There will be several search and rescue themed programs offered, including games led by local first responders. 

Troops may elect to camp overnight Friday, Saturday, both, or just come out during the day on Saturday. 

Cost is $10 per person and includes a patch for those registred by 9/16.  Troops and Scouts are responsible for their own meals, but we will  provide supplies for a Saturday night cracker barrel. 

Tentative Program Schedule:

Friday, 10/21

• Registration and set up campsite:  any time 5 p.m. or later

Saturday, 10/22

• 9 a.m.:  Program begins
  • Search and Rescue stations
    • MB requirements 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c
    • Also go over safety and weather
    • Go over section 10
• 10 a.m.:  Play Game with requirements 3a, 3b, 3c
  • Includes litter races and a first aid competition
• 11 a.m.:  Search and Rescue sections for requirements 6a, 6b, 6c, 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d
• 12 Noon:  Lunch
• 1:30 p.m.: Geocaching 
• 2:45 p.m.:  Mecial Exercise with the Camden Point Fire Department
  • Go over requirements 9a and 9b
• 3:30 p.m.:  Search and Rescue Search
  • Requirements 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d
  • 5 to 6:30 p.m.:  Dinner
• 7 to 9 p.m.: Program at Fire Station
• 9 p.m.:  Campfire

Sunday, 10/23- Pack up and go home
