All Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA members are invited to the Lewis and Clark District Fall 2023 Eclipse Camporall!

Experience the Solar Eclipse with Dr. Ryan Maderak, Physics Chair of Benedictine College, and Troop 53 Scout leader! This year's eclipse will reach 63 % in Atchison on 10/14! 

Register by 9/21 and the fee is $10 per person. Fee goes up to $15 per person beginning on 9/22. 

When:  Friday 10/13 through Sunday 10/15... units, Cub Scouts, and Scouts BSA Scouts can stay the entire time OR just come out Saturday 

Where:  Camp Kanza (266th Road, Atchison, KS 66002)

What to Bring:  Each Pack and Troop needs to bring all meals and cooking supplies, tents, fishing poles, personal items

What is Provided by the District:  Crackerbarrel for Friday and Saturday nights, worms for fishing, port-a-potties, water, and program supplies

Event Overview:

Friday- set up camp, eat dinner before arrival... crackerbarrel provided/social time

Saturday- breakfast by units on their own, lunch by units on their own, fishing, scavenger hunt, games, Dutch oven cooking for adults, supper by units on their own, flag retirement, crackerbarrel, special solar eclipse program guided by Dr. Ryan Maderak 

Sunday- breakfast by units on their own, Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics programs
