River Trails Fishing Fun Day
River Trails Fishing Fun Day at Maramec Springs Park
$5 event registration for youth & adults, includes a patch.
Additionally, you will need to pay on your own at the park entrance for $5 per car admission fee. If you are planning to fish, a daily trout tag is required ($5 adult tag age 16+, $3 for youth tag). Anyone age 16+ will also need a current Missouri Fishing License. Tags, licenses, and fishing supplies can be purchased at The Company Store, located at the park entrance.
This event is supported by Missouri Department of Conservation. Meet at 9:00am at this location (https://maps.app.goo.gl/A3PgG3vJ3KGVpqyL8) inside the park for a welcome statement and introduction by Missouri Department of Conservation. MDC will have plenty of fishing poles and equipment and will provide instructions. The meeting location will be alongside the parking lots directly past the park entrance. Look for uniformed Scouters. Cell service is very limited inside the park. There are no structured events for the day, so scouts and families are welcome to stay as long as they like fishing and enjoying the park. We encourage families to feed the fish along the raceways and be sure to walk around the spring!
Scouts (all ages), Scouters, Friends & Families are welcomed to attend. Bring a friend! Bring a picnic lunch and plan to stay the day! There's lots at Maramec Springs Park to explore. Take a short, concrete path hike around the spring, visit the Maramec Springs Musuem, feed the fish, play on playgrounds, and just enjoy the outdoors!! Wear your scout shirt, so we can easily identify you as a Scout participant.
Scouts BSA -- while this is not a MBU, there will be Fishing & Fly Fishing merit badge counselors on-site the whole day for any interested in starting on the MB, working on the MB, or finishing up the MB.
The Pick N' Shovel Cafe inside the park will be open until 2pm. The Maramec Museum inside the park will be open until 4pm.
