Nih-Ka-Ga-Hah Klondike 2025

Event Details

Events: Skis, Lashings/A Frame walking, 2-man Saw, Log Chopping, Sled Balance, Fire Starting, Tomahawks, First Aid, BB shoot, Sled Balance, Archery, Sled Racing!!

Awards given for: Best Sled Design, Head-to-Head, Best Teamwork. 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each category.

Registration Costs

Early Rate (Before 6 weeks): $18 per Scout  $10 Adults 

Order by the end of the Early Rate (12/27) to be Guaranteed a patch at the event!!! If you register after this date, you will likely receive the patch AFTER the event.

Regular (Between 6 weeks to 2 weeks before): $20 Per Scout $10 Adults

After (2 Weeks before): $25 per Scout $15 Per Adult

Each unit will provide their own food and cook in camp.  

Agenda for the Weekend

Friday Feb 7th

4PM: Check-in starts at Cedar Lodge

8PM: Patrol Leader Meeting with Staff meeting to follow at Dining Hall

Informal Axe Sharpening Gathering after Staff Meeting

 

Saturday Feb 8th

7:45AM: Flags/Opening Ceremony

8 – 11:30AM: Town challenges

11:30-1PM: Lunch (Units provide own lunch and assigned staff)

1 – 4:30PM: Head-to-Head competition

5:00 P.M Klondike Derby

5:30-7:00PM: Dinner at each individual camps

7:30 PM: Camp Fire

 

STAFF will eat lunch with designated patrols. Meals

graded into overall Team score.

Sunday Feb. 25th

Optional Sunrise Interfaith Gathering

Tear down / Clean up / Campsite Checkout

 

Sled Packing List

  • Scout Handbook
  • Pencil and Paper
  • 3 x Scout Neckerchief
  • 6 x Paracord 5ft. Long
  • 2 Gallons of Water
  • 1 Axe for log chopping
  • 4ft x 6ft Tarp
  • 3 x 6ft Poles
  • Tinder and kindling for fire starting. (You may use any fire-starting methods listed in the Scout Handbook.)
  • 5 Pairs of Gloves
  • Fully-packed backpack for a two night Hike-in Campout including tent/hammock, sleeping gear, food and clothing
  • Pouch for Gold 

Rules

NO Wheels allowed on sleds.

NO Styrofoam, wood or cardboard weaponry allowed.
