2025 Scouting Canoe Trip

Event Details

WHO: All Scouts (11 years or older) and Leaders. Order of the Arrow Wah-Sha-She Lodge, Sipo Aney Chapter, is hosting a fun canoe trip. Units are welcome to invite guests if the Scouting unit accepts responsibility.
 

WHAT: 8 mile Canoe trip from Cedar Grove to Akers Ferry on the Current River with Barbecue at the end.
 

WHEN: You can arrive anytime after 5:00 p.m. on August 15th. Please look for the Scouting Sign just after the Jadwin Office or stop in at the Jadwin Office. If your unit wants to camp, we have reserved campsites. Upon arrival, please sign-in with our OA Team. Unit leaders please plan to collect money and pay for the whole unit at one time.
 

On August 16th, Jadwin will pick us at 9AM at the campsite. Transportation after the float back to the Campsite is provided. If you are not camping, please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. on 16 August and come to our campsite to sign-in.


WHERE: Jadwin Canoe Rental is approximately 13 miles south of Salem at the intersection of K and ZZ.


WHY: To have fun and promote Scouting.


Cost is $40 per person. Cost includes camping, canoe trip, rental equipment, patch, and BBQ.


Cash on-site is preferred, and we will accept checks. We ask units to pre-register by emailing Josh Hare (josh.hare.scouting@gmail.com) by 28 July. The pre-registration is for planning purposes only and final registration is on-site when the unit signs in.
