PARENT-N-PAL NOTES
- Parent-N-Pal is a 24-hour program. (Saturday to Sunday morning) It is the perfect introductory camping program for “new” or inexperienced campers. All you to do is show up.
- Parent-N-Pal is a “complete package.” In order to reap all the benefits that our program provides, it is recommended that you do not leave until Sunday morning.
- Cub Scouts can attend Parent-N-Pal as a pack, den, or individual family, but it should be a one-on-one with your own son/daughter, for the best camping experience. Moms or dads or both may attend. Other family relatives – grandparents, etc. are also welcome. Siblings and/or other family members may attend. (Note: If there are two Scouts in your family, it is okay to attend with one parent. And, both parents may attend with their Scout(s).
- Note: If you absolutely must bring another child with you whose parent cannot attend, you may do so. It is not recommended, but it is allowed. You must have a note from a parent or guardian that allows for them to be in your care and transport to/from camp. All those that stay at the event must have a Health form part A and B reguardless of Age.
- The program is open to all registered Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and AOL Scouts. Scouting is an age-appropriate program with guidelines that have been developed based on the mental, physical, emotional, and social maturity of youth members. Parent-N-Pal is meant to be a “basic” camping program.
- We are looking forward to seeing you at Camp Childress for our Invention Convention Parent-N-Pal! If you have any questions regarding the information in this packet or about the event, please contact your CUBMASTER or Michelle Stanley at scoutmamachelle@gmail.com/text: 417-846-3938
