Whitney Young Jr. Awards Luncheon | Honoring Reverend Joe May
WHITNEY M. YOUNG, JR. SERVICE AWARD LUNCHEON
HONORING
REVEREND JOE MAY
SENIOR PASTOR, ANDERSON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
The Boy Scouts of America is honored to announce that Rev. Joe May has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious 2022 Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award. Over many decades, Rev. May has provided leadership and service to the youth in central and southern Mississippi, impacting thousands of youths' lives.
The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award is bestowed upon those individuals or organizations that demonstrate significant involvement in developing and implementing Scouting opportunities for youth from low-income urban and rural backgrounds.
Mark your calendars. The Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Award luncheon will recognize Rev. May and take place on August 25, 2022, at 12:00 noon at the Two Mississippi Museums.
All proceeds from this event will help provide Scouting opportunities for youth who may otherwise be unable to participate due to socio-economic concerns. For the Boy Scouts of America to achieve its goal of "serving all youth," it is imperative that youth from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to participate in its outdoor leadership program.
Your financial support for the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Luncheon is critical for reaching youth in urban and rural areas throughout central and southern Mississippi counties.
