Polar Cub Adventures

Bundle up and get ready for a frosty day of fun at Polar Cubs in Rochester, MN! Whether you're a first-year Cub or a seasoned snow explorer, this winter-themed adventure has something for everyone. Dive into a flurry of games, creative crafts, and cool challenges inspired by the Winter Olympics—like curling, geocaching, and of course, the legendary cardboard sled races. It’s a celebration of Cub Scouting in the snow, and it’s FREE for all member Cub Scouts to attend!
What will we be doing?
We have a brand-new team at the helm of Polar Cubs this year, with some brand-new activities!
ARRIVE / CHECK IN: Opens at 8am, closes at 8:40am
STATIONS (9am - 11:30): Stations include:
- Snow Shovel Relay
- Geocaching
- Curling
- Golf Ball Luge
- Target Practice
LUNCH (11:30, 12:30): A hot lunch consists of hot dogs and macaroni and cheese!
TRAIL TOURS (11:30, 12:30): While half of the group is at lunch, the other will be exploring the rarely-seen areas of Gamehaven Scout Camp!
CRAFTS AND ACTIVITIES (1:15 - 2:00): After lunch, families can enjoy quieter crafts and activities:
- Bingo
- Neckerchief Slide Making
- Branding
CARDBOARD SLED RACE (2:00 - 3:00): Race down the hill in your cardboard sled, or borrow one of the Gamehaven Scout Camp sledding tubes! Helmets must be worn on the hill, youth are encouraged to bring their own to ensure fit.
