OA Lodge Leadership Development

Event Details

FOR ARROWMEN: Behind every OA function is the need for planning and leadership. Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) offers lodges the chance to provide trainings aimed at improving leadership and teaching about the many facets of the Order. Training is a key part of the Order of the Arrow program. Through the wide variety of available trainings, new members can learn how to take advantage of the opportunities available to them, youth leaders can learn how to run a successful lodge or chapter, advisers can learn how to support and guide the youth, and any member can learn more about the rich history and broad scope of the Order of the Arrow. Training is how we communicate tried-and-true methods of running a quality program and prepare the next generation to take on the leadership of our multifaceted Order.

FOR NON-MEMBERS:

Blue Ox Lodge hosts an LLD for its members every year, but this year we are opening the event to all scouts of Gamehaven Council! We would like you to come join us for an afternoon of insightful trainings, empowering activities, and a delicious dinner. The event is open to youth and adult members of all ages throughout your troop. Trainings will be led by members of The Order of the Arrow, Scouting's Honor Society. These experienced scouts come from a wide range of backgrounds and have held a variety of leadership roles in Scouting, this means new perspectives and ideas will be presented to attendees. Doors open at 2:00pm and the event will begin at 2:30. We will begin serving a council-wide dinner at 5:45pm. The event will conclude by 7:00. It will cost only $10 to attend for the afternoon, this includes training material and dinner.
