Learn more about Energy while earning a merit badge. This class will be held at the Owatonna Energy Station (OES), which is located at 2884 W Bridge St. The session will include classroom work and a tour of the generating facility. The OES was opened in 2018 and uses four enormous engines to generate 38.8 megawatts of electricity. This station is fueled with natural gas. Scouts should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes (no shorts or sandals)

Arrival/ Check in time: Between 7:30am and 7:35am.  Class will start promptly at 8am. 

Pre-Requisites prior to attending: Work on requirements 4, 5 and 6 before class. Scouts will discuss what they found during the class. Have your Scoutmaster approve a blue card for the Energy Merit Badge.
