WAKPAOTA DISTRICT FALL CAMPOREE

The 2026 Wakpaota Fall Camporee will be held at Lazy D Campgrounds in beautiful Whitewater Valley. Brush up on your Dutch Oven Cooking Skills,  saddle-up for horserides, maybe go on a hike,  or climb the Elba fire tower. 

• Cost: Registered Youth Scouts - No Charge     Adults- $10   Adults fee applies whether attending for the full weekend or only part of the event.  The optional horseback riding is not included in registration fees. 
• Don't forget health forms (available on line or check Blackpug forms for this event)
• Checkin & Departure: Friday check-in begins at 4pm. Units arriving Later Friday evening may check in upon arrival. Sunday checkout will take place during the morning.
• Horseback Riding- Will be available for those interested
  • Fee is $35 (plus tax) - Scouts and Adults will need to pay for this activity. You can call the Lazy Day to reserve (507-932-3098)  Also, alert camporee staff Friday night at check-in that you are riding. 
  • You also must bring a signed permission form from your parent or guardian.
  • Bring a helmet (must have), wear long slacks, closed toe/sturdy shoes
• Campsite Inspection will be announced.
• A service project will be involved sometime during the event.
• Saturday evening chapel at 7pm with a campfire following church on Saturday night. After the campfire please be prepared to share a desset (cobbler)?  We are also inviting previous leaders to come for supper on Saturday and stay for the campfire and dessert.
• Recommendation is to cook your meals in a dutch oven. 
• Scout Spirit and troop involvement is a plus for the Traveling Trophy.
