The Boy Scouts are honored to have Irshad Rasheed join us to share a message on leadership.  Irshad Rasheed is the President and COO of Sanveo, Inc.  Sanveo is a construction technology firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Sanveo provided solutions for electrical systems in the new LA Rams Football stadium and the new San Francisco Air Traiffic Control Tower.  Rasheed came to the United States from India for graduate studies in the mid-1980's.  He holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana.

Rasheed's Scouting journey began when his son joined the local Boy Scout Troop.  He has served as Assistant Scoutmaster and Committee Chair for his sons' troop and currently is the Vice-President of Membership in the Golden Gate Area Council, BSA.

As part of his Woodbadge ticket, he started a two-day annual Muslim Camporee in 2011 to introduce Scouting to Muslim families.  It has now become an annual fixture in the Bay Area Scouting scene and serves to introduce Scouting to non-scouting Muslim families.

In addition to his membership duties at the board level, Rashheed has helped Scouting in fundraising, unit service, as an Eagle Scout coach and many other Scouting activities across the Bay Area.  He is blessed with a loving and supportive wife and rejoices in the accomplishments of his three sons, all of whom have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
