University of Scouting 2025

Fellow Scouts and Scouters,

On behalf of the Central Minnesota Council, we would like to welcome you to the inaugural 2025 University of Scouting! This event represents a unique opportunity for our community to come together, strengthen our skills, and enrich the Scouting experience for everyone involved. Our dedicated faculty, staff, and administration have curated an outstanding program for our first year, featuring a wide range of courses that will enhance your journey in Scouting, whether you’re an adult leader or a young Scout.

The core mission of the University of Scouting is to provide a high-quality program for both adult and youth leaders while offering advancement opportunities for our Scouts. Many of the courses and resources available here are not accessible online or through District-level training, making this a one-of-a-kind annual event. We aim to help both adult leaders and Scouts enhance their programs, build leadership skills, and support the overall vision of Scouting America.

Take some time to explore the various colleges and schools offering courses this year. Whether you’re looking to awaken the Cub Scout within you, learn how to guide your Scout to Eagle, how to integrate high adventure into your unit, or even pursue a Scouting degree, there’s something for everyone!

We are also excited to offer merit badge opportunities for our Scouts. We firmly believe that the University of Scouting should be an event for the whole Troop, so we encourage Scouts to take advantage of these opportunities while their leaders participate in training.
