Crow Wing County Historic Trails

 

When:             September 28, 2019 (Sign up deadline: September 19, 2019)

Where:           Crow Wing State Park

                        3124 State Park Road

                        Brainerd, MN 56401

Cost:   A vehicle permit is required and may be purchased upon arrival; $5 per vehicle for groups per day.

For:    Cub Scouts and their families

Cub Scouts come for a nice day hike and check out history in the area! We will have history stations in the morning at the historic markers in the park and speakers at 1 pm to 4 pm in the town site at the park. FREE with the only expense the $5 group fee per vehicle for the state park at the time of arrival.

9-Noon     Historic site visits and presentations Old Crow Wing Town Site, Chippewa Lookout, Battle of 1768, Oxcart Trail marker, and Father Pierz Chapel.

12-1 PM   Lunch on your own – best to bring a lunch bag or cooler – picnic area in the park

1:00-4      Historic presentations at Old Crow Wing Town Site
