2020 Scenic District Banquet

Hello Scenic District Adult Leaders:
It's that time of year, the Scenic District will be hosting the Annual Leadership Awards Ceremony and Banquet. The Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet will be at The Scout Office on Tuesday April 7th at 6:00pm. The cost is $10.00 per Adult and $5.00 per Scout and includes dinner. Online registration closes Friday April 3rd, 2020.
It is our belief that volunteers in scouting need to be praised and recognized for all their hard work and dedication to scouting. We know that most of the volunteers got involved in scouting to be closer to their kid(s) and to get them involved in the wonderful world of scouting. We would not have such a successful scouting program if it weren't for all the hard-working dedicated volunteers. In the beginning these volunteers were told that it only takes “One Hour a Week” to be a leader in scouting. But we all know that it takes so much more than that. It takes hours of dedication and years of hard work. In return we get a lifetime of memories.
Listed Below are the different categories for the awards:
Den Leader of the Year
CubMaster of the Year
Scoutmaster of the Year
Committee Chair of the Year
Charter Org/Rep of the Year
Scenic Volunteer of the Year
Outstanding Scout of the Year (Cub,BSA,Venture,Explorer)
District Award of Merit (Separate Form)
With that in mind we are requesting that all units nominate volunteers that you believe have gone above and beyond the “One Hour a Week.” Please complete the nomination sheet and turn in at roundtables,mail or drop it off at the council office Central MN Council, Attn: Wade Bastian, 1191 Scout Drive, Sartell, MN 56377.
You can also use the online Google Docs Form. All forms need to be turned in on or before March 3rd. Make as many copies of the form as needed. Remember with just “One Hour a Week” you too could be part of the wonderful world of scouting.
