Science is weird.  There is no doubt about it.  It's a scientific fact.  Join us at Weird Science camp as we explore just how weird science really is.

This camp is open to all youth (Scouts or non-Scouts) in grades K-5 fall of 2024.  Each youth must have a parent/guardian in attendance with them (one adult per family).

Weird Science Camp will offer a variety of, well, weird experiments.  Families will travel around to different stations to participate in each activity.  When it's time for a break from experiments, head over to the ranges where youth can participate in BB Guns, Archery and Sling Shots.

Those participating at the range, must have a signed permission form submitted.  Note:  Due to National BSA policy, youth in kindergarten will not be able to shoot at the BB Gun range.  They will, however, participate at the sling shot range and archery range.

If you recently joined Cub Scouts and received the voucher for the rocket, this is the event where you will launch it and watch it soar to amazing heights.  You will receive a launch time at check in.  Since this was a special promotion celebrating you joining Cub Scouts, rocket launch will not be available to everyone.

The event runs from 9am - 5pm and families are welcome to come and go at their leisure.  There will be room for families to have a picnic lunch (brought by family) or you are welcome to purchase food on site.  Everyone is encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle.

Each person on property, adults and youth/Cub Scout or Non-Scout, must complete a Health Form AB.

Families should bring:

  • Cub-Scout-Shooting-Sports-Permission-Slip
  • Health Form AB fillable
  • Dress for the weather as event is held rain or shine
  • Close toe shoes; no flip flops
  • Cub Scouts can wear a Scout t-shirt if they have one
  • Picnic lunch if desired (lunch will also be available for purchase)
  • Refillable water bottle

Registration is open until Saturday, September 28, 2024.
