Event Details

S.T.E.M. Academy Session 3 "Engineering"
Saturday, August 29, 2020
Via Zoom
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
No cost to attend - class size limited to 25 Cub Scouts
Cub Scouts grades 2-4 (fall 2020)

S.T.E.M. Academy Session 3 will feature Engineering.  We will explore how and when engineering touches our lives each day.

During the module "Swing!" we will learn about levers and build different types.  We will also look at playgrounds and how levers are a part of their construction.

In the module "Up and Away" we will learn about airfoils.  What are they and how do they work.  Then we'll get hands-on building some different airfoils.

Whatever adventure we complete, this academy is sure to offer cool experiments, fun activities and interactive learning.

Academics are age based materials for Cub Scouts in grades 2-4 (fall 2020)

Due to a generous grant from "Valero Benefit for Children", there is no cost to participate.  However, class size is limited to 25 youth, so be sure to register early and use the waitlist option if needed.

This event is held via zoom and the link will be sent to email you register with, so please be sure it is accurate.  Registration closes August 23, 2020.

Questions please call Shelley at the Center for Scouting 387-3123.
